100% ME WEB GAMES
New media agency Indigo has continued to strengthen their relationship with UK Sport the country’s top sporting agency. Over the past eighteen months the Indigo team have delivered a number of dynamic multimedia solutions, including website design and delivery, game based applications, video and DVD content to the 100% ME initiative.
The 100% ME programme re-enforces the message of ‘Drug-free sport’ through education and features endorsements from many of the UK’s top athletes including Paul Collingwood, Tanni Grey-Thompson and Paula Radcliffe.
During the last few months the team have worked closely with UK Sport to re-brand and update the 100% ME Challenge, an online interactive gaming suite that supports the educational aspects of the 100% ME programme, both online and offline through outreach events across the country.
There are three games in all, located at 100percentme.co.uk/ and over the past few weeks Indigo have enhanced the branding, updated and improved the game environment as well as revising the question database. Players can test their knowledge and play long jump, diving or penalty shoot out games. Cleverly designed graphics take players to an Olympic village set against the backdrop of the London sky line in readiness for 2012 games.
Craig Hamilton, project coordinator from Indigo explains; “When redesigning the games we had to strike a balance between the educational value, game play and consistency of user experience. The penalty game was tested at a UK Sport outreach event at the Tour de France in London which allowed us to learn from game players and refine our creative ideas.”
