Newcastle new media agency Indigo Multimedia has announced that it is backing this year’s North East Digital Awards.
The award-winning firm has become an associate sponsor for the Award’s Digital Suppliers Best Website category.
The Website Awards category includes Best B2B Website, Best B2C Website, Best Public Sector Website, Best Not-For-Profit Website, Best eCommerce Website, and Best Example of Accessibility sections.
The Digital Awards recognise outstanding performance of firms in the region using digital technology, and Indigo Multimedia scooped three Awards last year for Best Youth Enterprise Website, Best Example of Accessibility and Best Use of Online Film and Video.
Glen Burdis, director and co-founder at Indigo Multimedia, said: “We're delighted to be an associate sponsor for this year’s North East Digital Awards."
“As a leading company in the region’s digital industry, we've embraced the rapid developments of digital technologies and have made some great achievements. After our triple Digital Awards win, we are now keen to ensure that innovation in the digital industry continues to be championed and celebrated."
“The North East of England has some amazing talent and innovative businesses in the digital industry that deserve to be celebrated; endorsing the Awards is a perfect way for us to support just that.”
Organised by the North East Regional Portal and funded by regional development agency One North East, the Digital Awards 2008 are open for entries until February 27 2009.
Entries are submitted online at and winners will be formally announced at an awards ceremony in March 2009.
Pascal Fintoni, head of e-business at the North East Regional Portal, said: “Indigo’s remarkable achievement of securing three Digital Awards last year speaks for itself; we are very happy to welcome them on board as an Associate Sponsor of the Digital Awards. Their endorsement is very welcome and offers huge credibility and inspiration to potential entrants.”
Other Digital Awards sponsors include Business Link and neBusiness Awards.
