NHS PARTNER LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE TO IMPROVE EMPLOYEE HEALTH

Indigo Multimedia has established an excellent reputation for the quality of the online solutions they deliver to a broad range of public sector organisations. Most recently they have added Newcastle Primary Care Trust to their impressive portfolio, with the development of www.nohh.co.uk. A site designed to meet the highest International standards of accessibility, WC3 AAA.

The new web portal promotes the services of Newcastle Occupational Health and Hygiene (NOHH). Primarily the organisation works in partnership with other NHS Trusts and public and private sector employers to improve the health of their employees across the North East.

Given the Confederation of British Industry estimates that temporary sickness costs business over £10 billion annually, the burden being borne by employers and the NHS, NOHH have a lot to offer industry and employers. Their team of professionals provide a huge variety of occupational health and hygiene services, many of which can be tailored to suit the needs of clients.

In fact NOHH have assisted some of the regions leading companies including Rolls Royce Newcastle, BAE Systems and SCA Hygiene. Visitors to the site can find details of these and other bespoke services in a series of well presented case studies covering all aspects of their service, including Health & Safety and the recognition, evaluation and control of workplace hazards.

For Indigo, one of the key challenges when designing and developing the site was communicating the comprehensive range of services NOHH provides and translating these into easy to locate and navigable pages. By working closely with their clients to fully understand the nature of the business, the Indigo team were able to generate a detailed user profile and conduct a competitive analysis of websites within the Occupational Health and Hygiene sector. Ensuring the final website not only translates the brand visually, but also delivers core business messages clearly to its target audience. By presenting obvious calls to action the site design encourages customers to enquire about, and conduct new business with NOHH.

“We are delighted with the website that Indigo have developed for us” said Pauline Tennant, Occupational Health Manager, “ The developers were most professional in their approach, spending time listening to our needs, appreciating who our clients are and understanding the purpose of the site."

As well as a stylish new look, a bespoke content management system (CMS) has been developed which allows NOHH to capture data gathered via enquiries from the website and integrate this into forward marketing activity. Indigo provided the clients with a total package solution from domain purchase, branding and design to CMS and search engine optimisation (SEO).

Speaking of the project, Craig Hamilton of Indigo highlights the importance of SEO to position websites ahead of their competition, “We always spend a great deal of time with our clients helping them understand the importance of well tagged and written text. By assisting them on all aspects of the build we are able to put in place an SEO campaign that guarantees ranking across a varied search criteria.”
