ONLINE VIDEO HELPS ROYAL COLLEGE WITH DIAGNOSIS
A series of online videos designed to help psychiatrists diagnose Asperger Syndrome in adult patients, has been produced by the team at Indigo Video.
Commissioned by the Royal College of Psychiatrists and funded by the Department of Health, the films are now being used as a confidential online diagnostic tool by members of the College and for training and workshop purposes.
In making the videos, the team sensitively filmed a number of structured conversations between consultants and adults with ASD, which were edited to clearly indicate specific characteristics of the disorder to help practitioners diagnose the condition.
John Adams, Project Director said: "This was a fascinating project for the Indigo team, which had to be handled with sensitivity, respect and confidentiality. We enjoyed it immensely and are delighted with the feedback we've received from the Royal College of Psychiatrists."
Elizabeth Edgar, from the Royal College of Psychiatrists said: "It was a very challenging project for the team and the doctors were very impressed with Indigo's discretion whilst filming took place. Their professionalism, flexbility and work ethic helped to make the project a success and is very much appreciated. The quality of the finished product is great and lifts our training materials to a different level."
