YOUNG PEOPLE WEBSITE IS KEY TO A BETTER FUTURE

Get On It is a brand, spanking new information portal, which aims to provide the young people of Tees Valley with key information to help them build a better future.

Designed and developed by Indigo in partnership with Connexions County Durham and the five local authorities in Tees Valley, the site provides useful information and tips about future learning and work options to young people aged 14-19 in that area.

Emma Glozier, Indigo’s Project Manager said: “We’ve worked hard with all our partners to ensure that this site provides information that is not only relevant and bang up-to-date but is also from trusted sources with web-links that are vetted for reliability. More importantly, we also involved young people of different ages during the design and implementation process so they had a say on the look and feel and name of the portal.”

The Indigo team also put in place mechanisms for users to rate and comment on content, which will ensure that the site is kept as relevant as possible going forward.

Craig Liddle from Connexions County Durham said: “The team at Indigo, as well as being approachable, friendly and knowledgeable, provides innovative models and designs for web solutions, which are responsive to the needs of the client.  Get On It will be a valuable information tool for learners, their parents/carers and other stakeholders across the Tees Valley.”
