Design interactive e-learning game to help increase awareness of the effect daily lifestyle has on the environment. The game will need to work online and from a kiosk within an exhibition area.
The Solution
Indigo performed the following key tasks:
  • Developed a game concept centred around a polar bear on a melting ice-cap
  • Aim of game to save the polar bear by collecting ‘carbon goodies’ and avoiding ‘carbon baddies’
  • The large thermometer rising or falling accordingly and ice-cap increasing/decreasing in size to illustrate effect on climate
  • Structured game into four levels; one for each core message of the Carbon Neutral campaign
  • Created simple effective design with usability a key consideration
  • Aided visual recognition of carbon ‘goodies/baddies’, and key game stages through use of colour
  • Established consistent format to each level; maximising learning outcomes
  • Created highest score board to encourage ongoing interactivity and interaction with others

  • Game launched online and through exhibition kiosks
  • Great feedback from end-users
  • Formed integral part of the Carbon Neutral campaign
